How to take a screenshot Empty How to take a screenshot

This is a basic tutorial on how to take a screenshot.

~Step 1~ Taking the shot.

Once you are logged in on your client, you need to hold down the "alt" key. It is located on both sides of your space bar. NOTE: you only need to hold down one. While holding down the "alt" key, on the right side of the backspace key is "prt scrn" you press that. There, you have just taken a screenshot.

~Step 2~ Opening the screenshot / editing.

Now, open up the "paint" app. its located under Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Paint. Once paint is opened you need to hold down the "ctrl" key. It's located beside the "alt" key. While holding down "ctrl" press the "v" key. A screenshot should now pop up in your paint application. Now you're free to draw/edit it at your will. After you're done, save the image.

~Step 3~ Uploading

Ok, so you've saved your image. Your probably thinking "How am I going to post it on the forums?" Well here is how. After saving the image you can go to any image uploading site. Here are a few popular ones. ImageShack, PhotoBucket, and TinyPic. Once on any of these sites just click on "Upload" and select the image you want. Wait a few seconds for it to upload. Then you will be provided with a link to use on a form / website, ect....

~Closing~

Hoped this helped out the people that were confused about this. Thanks for reading my guide.

I would instead of saying control v command press the paste button, this really is a basic thing to do and people that dont know how to do this are post likely not command friendly, also try to include how to crop the image due to almost every time you have to do this with java player
